  • This week is Freedom to Read Week in Canada where we think about and reaffirm our commitment to intellectual freedom by reading banned or challenged materials. Come by our library and check out the display of banned or challenged books and take part in the daily trivia contest for a chance to win a prize.
  • Today's trivia question is:   What Dr. Seuss book was recently challenged at the Toronto Public Library? Here's a hint, The complaint said that the book encouraged children to be abusive to their fathers.
  • Today’s menu in the cafeteria:  Turkey pot pie with a side salad or popcorn chicken gravy mashed potato kernel corn both @5.75$; We to Me feature “Brookie” @1.50$ a brownie cookie combination; Pizza, chicken burger, oven fries with gravy and potato wedges
  • The Citadel Ultimate Frisbee team will begin practicing on Friday, March 6th after school at 3:30pm. The first practice will be held in the community center gym, and subsequent practices will be in the main Citadel gym every Friday. Players are asked to come prepared with running sneakers and  a light and dark shirt. Bring your disk if you have one!
  • Citadel Badminton Team Tryouts for girls and boys doubles will take place Wednesday, February 26th and Thursday, February 27th at lunch in the gym. Tryouts for mixed doubles will take place the following Wednesday and Thursday in the gym. Please see Ms. Nixon to sign up your team in advance of the tryout dates.
  • There will be a Boys Rugby Practice. today at 4:00 in the main gym. All are welcome to attend and no experience is necessary.
  • Girls Group will be held today during B-block, 3rd period, in the Health Centre.
  • Congrats to Citadel Senior Girls Snowboard Team who placed 2nd at the Metro Boardercross races on Monday. The Senior boys team placed 4th. Regionals will be Monday March 2 at Martock.
