Daily Announcements
  • The Christmas Elf has been hidden somewhere in the school, find him and take him to the main office to claim your special prize.
  • If you’d like to sign up for Dodgeball and Karaoke this week, signups are filling up quick so be sure signup by scanning a poster or going to the instagram @citadelhighcouncil! 
  • There will be a Winter Holiday Donation drive this week, Dec 11-15. The proceeds will be going to Welcome Housing, Halifax and will be distributed directly to folks living on the street. We are looking for monetary donations and gift cards of any value. We're also looking for outdoor gear; hats.mittens, scarfs, hand warmers and feet warmers. If you can donate cases of bottled water or Ensure that would also be appreciated. There will be a donation sheet for students to write their names down and be entered in the draw for their own gift card! There are boxes in Room 101, for the whole week! Thanks for your contributions!  
  • Humane society is having an open donation to support furry friends in need!! There is a donation box in front of the office for all donation items. Donations are open till December 15.
  • Any students who didn’t pick up their Academic award certificate from the ceremony, please come pick it up in the guidance office
  • There will be a summer employment information session for grade 11 and 12 African Ancestry students by the Black Youth Development and Mentorship Program Team on Wednesday at lunch. For more info and sign up please see Mr. Williams in Seminar room 3A. 
  • Any students who love chess or like to play chess or would like to learn chess, please come out to the chess club on Tuesday and Friday at lunch in room 318
  • Throughout the month of December "KTS" is running a "Holiday Toy Drive" for families in need. Please donate a new toy to help families in need in our surrounding communities. The donation box will be located in the main office daily or you can drop your donation to seminar room 3A.
  • There are Chromebooks on hold in the library for some of the people who had reserved one. If that is you, please check your gnspes email for a message from Ms. Lavers. If you haven’t received a message yet, please continue to check over the next several days.
  • Attention Phoenix!! 6 days until Hockey Pride Night Saturday Dec 16 at the Civic arena, be there, be loud
